Ordering Coffee, or…

coffee-drinks

Okay, I have entirely too much time on my hands now that I am home with my bad back.

So, about coffee, or ordering coffee at a place like Starbucks.  I know you have heard the jokes.  Like the longer the request of the coffee drink the bigger the A-hole.

So a person that orders something like,

“a cup of your dark roast for here, please.”

This is a pretty simple normal person.

a_small_cup_of_coffee Uncomplicated, easy to please.

And maybe someone who orders a Venti Latte, well, they are in the normal range, too.

The person who orders the Latte Macchiato, well, they are becoming a bit more complicated.

And the weasel  in front of you who orders the vanilla hazelnut half caf half decaf sugarfree non  fat skinny bone dry cappuccino venti but in a grande double cup,  well he should be kicked in the nuts.

And the woman who orders this next one, I want to hang out at her table…

Coffee anyone?

Coffee Coffee The Elixir of Life!

I must have my morning brew, or I think I would not be a nice person to be around. It is the thought of a wonderful cup of cappuccino that actually gets me out of bed most mornings.

Naturally I love to and do make lots of coffee at home, but going out for coffee is a real treat for me.

I think my all time favorite place to get a coffee is Cafe du Monde in New Orleans, in the French Quarter right on Decatur Street.

It is open 24 hours a day, and this makes it the ideal place to go after a night of drinking or a late night going to dinner and the movies and hanging out with friends.

It was the place we ended up at 3am on our Prom Night.

And the coffee there, oh the coffee! Dark and thick and rich with Chicory, and poured together with steamed milk.

And always get an order of Beignets!

So, how do you make your coffee at home?

With a Drip Coffee Maker?

Or maybe an espresso machine?

Or maybe a Perculator:

Or one of these pod machines:

I am using one of these:

A WMF espresso stove top maker in stainless steal, and I love it. It makes the perfect espresso (for espressos or lattes, or cappuccinos). I then heat milk on the stove top and froth it:

So, I wonder, do you drink coffee? How much and how often? What kind of coffee? How do you prepare it? Do you drink it with milk? Low fat, full fat, or cream? Do take it with sugar? And how much?

Can you drink coffee and night and still sleep okay?

After reading this do you really want a cup of coffee?

I am just saying…
