    The Pure Breath of Life

    Because your time moves more quickly
    does not mean it of less value.
    And, what does it matter anyway,
    what we think,
    it moves in the swells and currents
    of it’s own ocean.

    As we move through white roses
    and jasmine,
    we are not shriveled,
    rubbing our hands in self-pity;
    but we sing as the aspen sings
    and smile as the quarter moon smiles.
