F went out for the Saturday morning Brötchen for our weekend breakfast and he found a Halloween treat at another Bakery. This time it was a Halloween Berliner (Jelly Donut).
Check this one out:

So I must ask, which is SCARIER?
The Devil Pumpkin Guy?
OR
Our Garden Gnome?
So here in lovely Deutschland, the bakeries have a cookie called “Amerikaner”
This cookie is not a cookie that I have ever seen in the USA. But it does a little bit resemble a black and white.

Well, today I stopped at the local backery in the train station on my way home from work for a loaf of bread and saw a cookie named:
HALLOWEEN AMERIKANER and this is what it was:
This is the actually cookie. This is Halloween to someone at the bakery. A Garden Gnome. I had to buy this because this goes to on prove that Germany has not really embraced Halloween. The first year I lived here, I had trick-or-treaters show up at the door 2 days before Halloween and then again 2 days after. But none on the actual day.
Last year, no trick-or-treaters. No one has parties either. Such a disappointment.
So, there you have the Garden Gnome in all of his glory on a cookie, celebrating Halloween.
Here is “this is Halloween” from A Nightmare Before Christmas
Football, or Soccer.
Big game tonight in Moscow against the Russian team for World Cup qualification. Germany won (1-0)
Some cool pictures below:

The coach, Joachim Löw. He looks like he could be a Beatle to me. (not the insect, I mean jamming with Paul, John, George and Ringo)

Klose, in an interesting position.

Adler, the goalkeeper (a rather good looking guy and a really good keeper)

The team! Congrats boys!
